My Favourite Object
This artefact is an Ebuja-faced Helmet Mask. It is made out of wood. The wood is carved to look like a face. It is painted and really looks like a man from those times. It shows us how the face looks with the black lips and the scars. The face is light brown and quite detailed. It comes from Nigeria and dates back to 1894- about 110 years ago. It is used by the Enyatu society and was commissioned by Keith Nicklen.
My Favourite Object
This picture shows the Fish Scale necklace from Grenada. The necklace was used for the Caribbean identities project. It was a very long necklace as the end could not be seen as you can tell from the photo. The colour yellow was a beautiful golden mix. The red was really pretty however what really hit me was that it was found in a Grenada rainforest. This is why I chose it as my favourite object.
