Join Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion as they set off down the yellow brick road right here in London.
This stage production of the classic American musical fantasy is the first to open in the capital in 20 years.
Directed by the Southbank Centre's Artistic Director Jude Kelly, the show is based on the Royal Shakespeare Company's version of the story (1987) which closely follows the original MGM film (starring Judy Garland).
Stars Come Down the Yellow Brick Road to London
Siân Brooke will wear the infamous ruby slippers as Dorothy in the much-loved family classic from 23 July to 31 August.
She will star alongside Adam Cooper as the Tin Man, Roy Hudd as the Wizard of Oz, Julie Legrand as the Wicked Witch of the West, Hilton McRae as the Scarecrow and Gary Wilmot as the Cowardly Lion.
The Story of the Wizard of Oz
The Wizard of Oz is one of those all-time classics celebrating positive thinking, courage, and homecoming.
Dorothy is transported to the Land of Oz after a tornado hits her aunt and uncle's Kansas farm. The Good Witch of the North tells Dorothy to follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. There, she can meet the Wizard of Oz who'll return her to Kansas.
During the adventure, Dorothy befriends a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart, a Cowardly Lion who longs for more courage and... the Wicked Witch of the West who desperately wants Dorothy's powerful ruby slippers!
