A Boy's Day Out in London

"I'm bored! Are we nearly there yet?" This is what you won't be hearing today, because this boys day out is guaranteed to grab the attention of even the most active and mischievous young man!

The Science Museum's Launchpad

At the moment, the top London attraction for grown up boys, little boys, teenage boys – all boys, in fact, is the Science Museum's Launchpad. Armed with 6 zones (Light, Material, Energy Transfer, Sound, Forces and Magnetism) the space is packed with over 50 interactive, hands-on exhibits that all combine to make a heavenly morning for kids of all ages.

See Dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum

Next, leave the world of science and face the challenge of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods – the ages of the dinosaur. The Natural History Museum has life-sized dinosaur skeletons, immense pickled squids, huge wooden whales and around 70m other specimens – perhaps the greatest collection of nature's wonders.

Lunchtime in Kensington

A busy morning, and time to thaw out. In the museum quarter of South Kensington, you have the choice of lunch in any of the museums' many excellent eateries. Or, try age-appropriate local restaurants, includnig Tootsies, the Gourmet Burger Kitchen or Patisserie Valerie.

A Dingy Afternoon in the London Dungeon

After lunch, if you think you're hard enough, we suggest a trip to the dark side – to the London Dungeon. Once inside this rank, revolting place, you'll find yourself at the mercy of the hangman and have to endure 2 bone-chilling interactive rides.

Be Entertained at Namco Station

If you aren't a fan of all things gruesome, why not visit Namco Station, the ultimate in entertainment centres. Apart from "techno-bowling" and bumper cars, you'll find video games activities like jet skiing or truck racing.

Afternoon Treats at Konditor & Cook

Afterwards, celebrate your fabulous day out with a Curly Whirly double-layer chocolate cake at the nearby Konditor & Cook. Yum!
