Q: Where did you last eat out in London?

A: I ate at Shoreditch House in East London last night. I rarely go to East London but I loved it. I just think it's so cool.

Q: What's the best party you've been to in London?

A: I've been to lots over the years. My wife's a party organiser so I've been to dozens. What I love about the London party scene is that no 2 parties are the same. There are film parties, fashion parties, socialite parties and each has a different feel and a different crowd.

Q: What's the best theatre show you've been to in London recently?

A: I went to the most amazing show the other day called Into The Hoods. It's one of the best things I've ever seen. It's the first time in many years I've been the first person to give a standing ovation at the end. I think shows like this are the way forward for theatre in London. You get a different age group in the seats and that's what we need.

Q: What's your favourite London icon?

A: I love St Pancras Station. I think the building is incredible and something we should be proud of.

Q: Where is the most romantic place in London?

A: I grew up around Notting Hill so I find Portobello very romantic. I used to take my first dates there. I met my wife walking in Hyde Park so I have to say that's very romantic too.

Q: What are your 3 top tips for visitors?

A: I went on one of the double-decker bus tours round London that you can hop on and off and I thought it was amazing. It's an excellent way of exploring.

Go to the weirder, quirkier places. Visit the main tourist attractions like the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. But make sure you go off the beaten track and visit quirkier places because that gives you a real feel for what London's like.

And, for the best views of London, go down to the Thames in the evening and see it in the dark.

Q: What do you miss most when you're away from London?

A: London – that's the answer. I love the city. I find it really vibrant and exciting. It's an incredibly cool place to be. It has so many different identities and different villages. As soon as I'm away I start missing it. It's got something nowhere else has and that's why I've stayed.
